Mahogany Icebox Cabinet Side Table

Vintage-style Icebox Cabinet

designable mahogany icebox

Solid Mahogany console side table built in the style of an early 1920’s icebox cabinet. Iceboxes were used as a means of refrigerating food items before the invention of the electric refrigerator. A two-door design featuring book-matched surfaces on the doors, top, and back, as well as continuous grain across the doors. A slight belly on the top’s front and back edges soften the straight lines on the rest of the piece.

Adorned with high-quality satin nickel hinges and latch hardware and finished in a satin water-based polyurethane. A round, barrel-type, magnetic catch system is provided, but not installed.

30″ wide x 31 1/4″ tall x 9 3/8″ deep (from midpoint and curved tapering at the ends) overall. The top is 3/4″ thick and the legs are 1 3/4″ solid. Box dimension is 28″ wide x 10″ tall x 8 1/4″ deep.

*This item was in service for several years and shows minor signs of exterior wear (finish scratches, dings, blemishes, etc) but is still in very good condition. There are no cracks or seam separations.
